	Wednesday, March 4 & 18th, 2015 FRENCH BRAID QUILT: ORIENTAL PALMS Time: 10 am to 3 pm Instructor: Kathy Dyas Fee: $70.00 for both sessions
Would you like to create a quilt that looks complicated, but is easy to piece together? If so, the French Braid is the quilt for you! Create this beautiful quilt using hues of your favorite colors. In the first session we will create our braids, and in the second we will put our masterpieces together.

This class will teach you the basics of quilt making from start to finish. Whether you have never made a quilt before, or if you just want to freshen up on your, this is the class for you. From pressing to borders, you'll learn it all!
	Saturday, March 14th APPLIQUÉ BASICS Time: 10am to 1pm Instructor: Cindy Jahnke Fee:  $25
This class will teach three methods of appliqué: needle turn, lick and stick and a lick and stick variation. The class will discuss types of threads and sewing machine stitches to use with your appliqué designs. A heart and star design will be provided so that the student can practice appliqué in class.

Easy Stained Glass is a simple, beginner quilt. This lovely quilt has a dramatic effect in any color and is an easy way to impress your friends and family!

	Wednesday, March 25th FEATHERS, FEATHERS, FEATHERS! Time: 2pm to 5pm Instructor: Karen Ponischil Fee:  $45
Feathers are the classic quilt motif. Learn the basics of creating feathers from the "shell/teardrop" shape in this free-motion quilting class. This is a minimal/no mark technique workshop where you will be introduced to several different feater patterns. Students will learn: about thread, machine feet, needles and batting how to ready your machine starting and stopping several free-motion quilting feather motifs (with spine, withoutspine, free form, and funky feathers)
	Friday, March 27th BLUE RIDGE MOUNTAIN LANDSCAPE Time: 10am to 4pm Instructor: Karen Ponischil Fee:  $65
Learn to create fabric landscape of the Blue Ridge Mountains! In this class you will learn to create a fabric landscape from a photo. By the end of the class you will understand the technique and know how to create your own landscape quilt. Students will learn: how to turn a photo into a pattern for a landscape quilt how to choose fabrics how to free motion quilt landscape binding options
	Saturday, March 28th INTRO TO THREAD PAINTING (Ginko Mini) Time: 2pm to 5pm Instructor: Karen Ponischil Fee:  $55
Learn the basics of painting with thread. In this class you will learn how to add color, shading and hightlights to a flat area to give it dimension. Students will learn: learn about stabilizers which threads work well for thread painting how to build color how to add overall color, shading and highlights
	Wednsday March 25th or Saturday, March 28th MACHINE QUILTING BASICS FREE MOTION QUILTING Time: 10am to 1pm Instructor: Karen Ponischil Fee:  $45
Curvy, Geometric or Both? Learn what style you like best in this free-motion quilting class. You will learn the basics of free motion quilting. This is a no mark technique workshop where you will be introduced to several different free motion quilting patterns Students will learn: about thread, machine feet, needles and batting how to ready your machine starting and stopping several free-motion quilting designs (curvy and geometric)
	Saturday, March 28th WRAPPED FABRIC PURSES, BASKET & BOWLS Time: 3pm to 5pm Instructor: Cindy Jahnke Fee:  $25
Learn to make these amazing bowls, baskets and purses from clothesline and fabric using simple wrapping and coiling methods and zigzag stitching. You'll make one project in class, but you'll learn the techniques to make any project! These projects are easy and FUN to make and they make great gifts! Anyone and everyone can do this!

Learn what to do and not do when hand hemming dress pants, dresses, jeans and skirts. You will learn at least 3 different hand hemming techniques and how to use your blind hem stitch on your sewing machine, as well as other useful hemming tips.

Are you redecorating your home and need inspiration for window treatment ideas? Would you like to learn more about planning and sewing curtains, valances and shades? Join home décor sewing expert Susan Woodcock for a fun and informative look at decorating your windows!  In this class you will learn how to measure your window, choose fabric and lining and design the best window treatment style for your home. Susan will share general supplies and techniques used in creating custom window treatments, and tips for installing on your window.  If you plan to purchase or sew window treatments for your home, this class is the perfect introduction to the world of curtains, valances and shades!

Clubs

	Saturday, March 14th EMBROIDERY CLUB Time: 9 am - 10:30 am Instructor: Pam Carter Fee: $10.00 Must sign up prior to class. Class size is limited!
Not sure how to place your embroidery on a napkin, towel, cuff or polo shirt?  This month we will focus on placement techniques using Creative Notions Snap Ease Hoop Press and Eileen Roche's Snap Hoop. Club is located in the Mary Jo's Sewing Center and Baby Lock embroidery machines will be set up for the perfect hands on experience! You do not need to own a Baby Lock embroidery machine to come. We welcome all wanna be embroiderers as well as those that have embroidered for years. Expect to have a great time!
	Every 3rd Saturday of the Month PARK BENCH BLOCK OF THE MONTH (MONTH 8) Instructor: Daniela Hogan Time: 10am to 1pm Fee: Fee: $250 includes fabrics for the top, pattern and 3 hours of instruction for 9 months
	Class Policy:
-The class fee must be collected when you sign up for the class to guarantee your seat. Each fee is listed next to the class listing. -If you cannot attend a class for which you have registered you must let us know 7 days prior to class time. We will be happy to refund your class fee and/or register you in another class. / -If you cancel after the 7-day time allowance, up until the day of the class, your class fee is nonrefundable. -A minimum of 3 students is required for class. If this requirement is not met, usually the class will be canceled and you will be refunded your class fee. Mary Jos reserves the right to cancel classes for any reason. If this happens, you will be refunded your class fee. -There are no refunds on class fees for 'Special Event' teachers/classes within 30 days of class date unless we can fill your spot with another person. NO EXCEPTIONS!
